Week 17: December 8-12, 2025​​

• Homework Due This Week:

  • Sign the permission slip for The Nutcracker.

  • Complete the Positive Ordered Pairs worksheet. I did the first ones for you.

  • Complete the two-sided Mixed Grammar Review page. You may get help from a parent/guardian/sibling.

  • Read each day and fill in three days of the Reading Log. ​

• Friday, 12/12:

  • Our class and Mrs. Mattis’ class will be performing a song at the Friday 8:20 am-9 am assembly. Parents may attend. Students need to wear PJs that day.

• Thursday, 12/18:

  • We will be watching Home Alone on Thursday 12/18. Students may bring up to three comfort items (bean bag, blanket, stuffed animal, etc.) as long as they can carry them and take them home for the break. 

• Friday, 12/19:

  • Field trip to The Nutcracker ballet: We will be back for lunch and then our potluck event. Students will be dressing up for the ballet (optional, but fun). 

  • We will have our 2nd Annual Snack/Treat Potluck Party at 1:00 pm (After lunch). Parents, if you would like to donate to the potluck (it is not required), please send your contribution with your student in the morning, unless you will be bringing it. Parents are welcome to stay. We will need volunteers. At 1:30, we will join the other 5th grade classes, and the 4th grade classes for a Christmas carol sing-a-long.

• Individual AR goals are set for the new trimester. At the end of each trimester, we will celebrate the students who meet their individual AR reading goals. 

• Please communicate with me through email or Parent Square. Make sure your contact information is correct in the office (I will use that information). You can also request a phone call via email by emailing the times I can call and the phone number to call.
